The role of the Skills Coach is to support the recovery of individuals with mental ill health and prepare them for progression towards further education, training or employment. This is achieved through the effective planning and delivery of programmes of accredited ICT and personal development.
A Skills Coach:
- Is educated to QCF level 2 (including GCSE Maths and English grades A*-C) or equivalent
- Has a recognised Level 3 IT qualification
- Has experience of delivering vocational/accredited I.T. training in a group setting, i.e. OCN, ECDL, NVQ or BCS
