Service Manager - Supported Living Service ALD

Bond Healthcare is recruiting a SERVICE MANAGER for an Adult Learning Disability Supported Living Service in Bangor, this is a fantastic full time PERMANENT job.

Core responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and manage a high quality Supported Living Service which meets the needs and aspirations of the people you support
  • Assume responsibility as Registered Manager for the service and the delivery of all aspects of a high quality service
  • Ensure the effective people management of all staff and volunteers
  • Understand the views and aspirations of the people you support and that they are kept at the forefront of your work
  • Work in partnership with external  and internal colleagues to progress new growth opportunities
  • Use assessment data to plan and implement support arrangements for each individual
  • Establish and oversee service development in relation to budget development, staffing and establishing service systems

You will have:

  • 5 years’ practice experience in a health and social care setting, providing services to people with a learning disability and/or autistic spectrum condition and/or acquired brain injury. This must include at least 2 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting to include supervision of staff / volunteers and financial management
  • Committed to achieving QCF Level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management) within 2 years of employment
  • Be registered, or eligible for registration on appointment, on the NISCC register without condition
  • Full driving licence with access to a car which is insured for business use

OR

  • Relevant recognised Health and Personal Social Services Professional Qualification i.e. Social Work or Nurse (level 1 and above), or Allied Health Professional
  • Be registered with the relevant professional body without condition
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a health and social care setting, providing services to people with a learning disability and/or autistic spectrum condition and/or acquired brain injury. This must include at least 2 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff / volunteers and financial management
  • Full driving licence with access to a car which is insured for business use

OR

  • A QCF Level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management)
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a health and social care setting, providing services to people with a learning disability and/or autistic spectrum condition and/or acquired brain injury. This must include at least 2 years’ relevant experience in an operational management capacity in a health and social care setting to include supervision of staff / volunteers and financial management
  • Be registered, or eligible for registration on appointment, on the NISCC register without condition
  • Full driving licence with access to a car which is insured for business use
