We are recruiting Social Workers for full time assignments within Adult Community Older Peoples Service in Belfast. There are opportunities at Band 6 and Band 7 (Senior Practitioner) level.
You will work as a keyworker, to build a therapeutic working relationship with elderly service users to address the specific challenges of the aging process by promoting independence, autonomy, and dignity in later life.
You will recognise that Older People and their carers are experts by experience, and will work in partnership with them, to promote independence and resilience, maximise social inclusion and citizenship, reduce risk and avoid harm.
Senior Practitioner will oversee Social Work and Social Care practice, ensuring that statutory obligations and supervisory requirements are met. This will include undertaking the DAPO role and providing leadership to the team in relation to Adult Safeguarding issues.
You will have:
- Degree / Diploma in Social Work
- Part 1 NISCC registration (or eligible for registration)
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business purposes
- (Senior Practitioner) circa 4 years post qualifying experience, with 2 years experience working with older people
