About the role
Our NHS client, a family and childcare team in Derry, needs full-time Band 4 Social Work Assistants, starting as soon as possible for an initial 2 months.
The role is 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, with no on-call. You will provide flexible support to families with children in need in line with their care plans, working alongside social workers on assessments and care plans, doing direct work with children and young people, and facilitating supervised family time (which includes driving). Some evening or weekend work may be needed.
What you’ll need
- A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a care or education-related subject and 1 year's experience working with families/children in a formal setting; or a Level 2 qualification and 2 years' experience; or 4 years' experience
- Registered, or eligible for immediate registration, with NISCC on the Social Care part of the register
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car
- Enhanced Access NI check
