Care Assistant

About the role

We're recruiting Care Assistants for a care home in Ballymena, part of a large group with more than 25 homes across Northern Ireland.

The home looks after older people, people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. You'll help residents with the everyday things that matter most, from getting ready in the morning to enjoying a chat over a cup of tea.

Key responsibilities

• Help residents with personal care, dressing and continence care, always protecting their dignity
• Support mobility and moving and handling, using hoists and equipment where needed
• Assist at mealtimes and encourage residents to eat and drink well
• Spend time with residents, encouraging conversation and activities
• Record care accurately and report any changes to the nurse in charge

What you’ll need

Applicants must have:

• At least 6 months of UK care assistant experience gained within the past 2 years
• Experience providing personal care and using hoisting equipment
• The legal right to work in the UK
