Healthcare Assistant

About the role

We’re looking for warm, dependable Healthcare Assistants to join a friendly team at a care home in Coleraine, providing nursing, residential and dementia care, including for people with physical disabilities. If you love helping people feel at home, this is the role for you.

Day, night and weekend shifts are available, so you can work around your other commitments, and you’ll have a dedicated Bond consultant to support you from your first shift. You’ll be paid weekly.

Key responsibilities

• Help residents with personal care, dressing and continence care, always protecting their dignity
• Support mobility and moving and handling, using hoists and equipment where needed
• Assist at mealtimes and encourage residents to eat and drink well
• Spend time with residents, encouraging conversation and activities
• Record care accurately and report any changes to the nurse in charge

What you’ll need

Applicants must have:

• At least 6 months of UK care assistant experience gained within the past 2 years
• Experience providing personal care and using hoisting equipment
• The legal right to work in the UK
• Registered, or willing to register, with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
• Access NI check (we arrange this for free)
