About the role

We're recruiting Healthcare Assistants for a care home in Antrim, part of a group with several homes across County Antrim.

The home focuses on dementia care and physical disability, and also supports older residents and people receiving end-of-life care. Your patience and kindness will help residents living with dementia feel safe and settled every day.

Key responsibilities

• Help residents with personal care, dressing and continence care, always protecting their dignity
• Support mobility and moving and handling, using hoists and equipment where needed
• Assist at mealtimes and encourage residents to eat and drink well
• Spend time with residents, encouraging conversation and activities
• Record care accurately and report any changes to the nurse in charge

What you’ll need

Applicants must have:

• At least 6 months of UK care assistant experience gained within the past 2 years
• Experience providing personal care and using hoisting equipment
• The legal right to work in the UK
