Healthcare Assistant

About the role

We're looking for Healthcare Assistants to work in a care home in Bangor that specialises in caring for people with physical disabilities.

The home also looks after older residents and provides end-of-life care, so you'll support people at every stage, from helping someone keep their independence to making a resident's final days as comfortable as possible.

It's a homely setting where you'll get to know residents and their families well. Shifts are flexible, so you can work around family, study or other commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Help residents with personal care, dressing and continence care, always protecting their dignity
• Support mobility and moving and handling, using hoists and equipment where needed
• Assist at mealtimes and encourage residents to eat and drink well
• Spend time with residents, encouraging conversation and activities
• Record care accurately and report any changes to the nurse in charge

What you’ll need

Applicants must have:

• At least 6 months of UK care assistant experience gained within the past 2 years
• Experience providing personal care and using hoisting equipment
• The legal right to work in the UK
