Healthcare Assistant

About the role

We’re looking for kind, dependable Healthcare Assistants to join a welcoming nursing home in Bangor, caring for older people, including people living with dementia. It’s a rewarding place to work, with a team that really values good care.

Day, night and weekend shifts are available, so you can work around your other commitments, and you’ll have a dedicated Bond consultant to support you from your first shift. You’ll be paid weekly.

Key responsibilities

• Help residents with personal care, dressing and continence care, always protecting their dignity
• Support mobility and moving and handling, using hoists and equipment where needed
• Assist at mealtimes and encourage residents to eat and drink well
• Spend time with residents, encouraging conversation and activities
• Record care accurately and report any changes to the nurse in charge

What you’ll need

Applicants must have:

• At least 6 months of UK care assistant experience gained within the past 2 years
• Experience providing personal care and using hoisting equipment
• The legal right to work in the UK
• Registered, or willing to register, with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC)
• Access NI check (we arrange this for free)
