We're looking for Registered Nurses for a nursing home in Belfast, part of a large group with more than 25 homes across Northern Ireland.
About the role
We're looking for Registered Nurses for a nursing home in Belfast, part of a large group with more than 25 homes across Northern Ireland.
The home cares for older people, people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities, and provides end-of-life care. It's a busy, varied setting where your clinical judgement and leadership really count.
You'll oversee care on the floor, support a team of care assistants and work with families and visiting professionals. Flexible shifts are available to suit you.
Key responsibilities
- Lead care on the floor, guiding and supporting the care assistants on your shift
- Administer medication safely and keep medication records accurate
- Assess residents and write and review care plans and risk assessments
- Spot changes in residents' health early and liaise with GPs, families and visiting professionals
- Provide compassionate end-of-life care, supporting residents and their families
What you’ll need
Applicants must have:
- At least 6 months of UK nursing experience gained within the past 2 years (care home based)
- Experience providing personal care, and medication administration
- The legal right to work in the UK
- Valid NMC registration
- Adherence to NMC code
