Domiciliary Care Manager

Bond has held a domiciliary care licence in Northern Ireland for many years and has a Registered Manager in place. This role is to focus on the development of the service, in particular the provision of home care services.

Overview

The Domiciliary Care Division Manager will develop and manage Bond Healthcare’s care at home service. This is a senior role that requires both commercial acumen and an in-depth knowledge of the Northern Ireland home care sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development of the care at home division
  • Develop and implement a robust business plan including market analysis, pricing strategy, and growth targets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities including private pay clients, block contracts, and spot purchasing arrangements.
  • Develop the Bond Healthcare brand within the domiciliary care market, leveraging the company’s existing reputation.
  • Report regularly to the Senior Leadership Team on division performance, KPIs, and commercial progress.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational management of the domiciliary care service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is consistently delivered.
  • Develop and implement efficient care scheduling, rostering, and on-call systems to ensure continuity of service.
  • Lead on service user assessments, care planning, risk assessment, and regular reviews in accordance with individual needs.
  • Ensure robust safeguarding procedures are in place and that all staff are trained to recognise and respond to concerns appropriately.
  • Monitor service quality through regular audits, spot checks, service user feedback, and carer supervision.
  • Manage complaints and compliments effectively, using feedback to drive service improvement.
  • Build a positive team culture aligned with Bond Healthcare’s values of excellence, integrity, and person-centred care.
  • Conduct regular supervisions, appraisals, and performance management in line with company policy.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix at all times, including robust on-call arrangements.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of three years’ experience working in domiciliary / home care, with at least two years in a management or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of The Domiciliary Care Agencies Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007, RQIA Minimum Standards, and the NISCC Standards of Conduct and Practice.
  • Proven ability to develop and grow a care business nationally or regionally
  • Experience of recruiting, managing, and developing a frontline care workforce.
  • Proficiency with digital care management systems and electronic rostering platforms.
  • Full current driving licence and access to own vehicle.
